CM Proposes Special Task Force To Expand Google’s Partnership in AI, Cloud Computing

Vijayawada: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has proposed the formation of a dedicated task force to enhance collaboration with Google in artificial intelligence (AI), cloud computing, and digital governance.

Meeting with Google Cloud Leadership

During his visit to Singapore on Monday, Chief Minister Naidu met with Karan Bajwa, the president of Google Cloud for the Asia-Pacific region. They discussed strategies to establish Andhra Pradesh as a key hub for AI development and data centers.

Naidu requested Google’s support to integrate AI into government services and highlighted plans to enhance the state’s Real Time Governance System through advanced cloud technologies.

Expansion of AI and Cloud Initiatives

The Chief Minister emphasized the intention to expand initiatives such as AI skill development and cloud certification programs in partnership with Google Cloud.

Plans also include establishing AI and cloud computing centers within universities and engineering colleges across Andhra Pradesh, alongside the state’s ongoing efforts to promote green energy.

Engagement with National University of Singapore

In a separate meeting, Naidu engaged with Prof. Tan Eng Chye, president of the National University of Singapore (NUS), and senior officials from innovation and urban studies departments.

He proposed launching an international branch of NUS in Amaravati or, alternatively, setting up a satellite campus. Naidu also sought NUS’s support in devising policies to attract global investors.

Prof. Tan Eng Chye agreed to consider the proposal for establishing a campus in Amaravati.

Collaboration with Confederation of Indian Industry

Naidu met with a delegation from the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) AP Business, which included prominent industrialists from Andhra Pradesh.

The Chief Minister assured involvement of these industrialists in his foreign visits to promote investment opportunities and encouraged them to advocate for the state’s potential to investors.
