In the Sarvat area of Muzaffarnagar district, the demand for accessible computer education among youth was unmet until Sachin Kumar took the initiative to establish a local coaching center. His journey illustrates the impact of small but steady efforts in bridging the digital education gap in semi-urban India.

A Local Computer Coaching Center for Youth

Until recently, students in Sarvat had limited opportunities for organized computer education within their locality and often had to travel to other areas for basic digital learning. Recognizing this shortage, Sachin Kumar decided to address the educational void by starting a computer training center in his own area.

Starting the Center

Sachin’s center began modestly with just three or four students attending, but over time, it attracted between 30 and 40 regular learners. This gradual increase reflects growing community trust and awareness of the facility.

Sachin’s Background

After completing his graduation, Sachin pursued further studies in computer education, including a one and a half year software course and earning a Triple C certificate. Opting against traditional employment, he was determined to launch his own business from the outset.

Early Days of the Center

The center was inaugurated in January 2025, initially operating with a single laptop. Despite limited resources, Sachin’s clear vision for the center drove the program forward.

Support from Government Scheme

During this period, Sachin discovered the Uttar Pradesh government’s Mukhyamantri Yuva Udyami Vikas Abhiyan (CM YUVA Yojana) through media channels. He successfully applied for the scheme and was eventually awarded financial assistance at an event in Meerut.

Growth After Financial Help

With the government’s financial support, Sachin expanded the center’s infrastructure by purchasing additional computers, installing internet connectivity, and setting up a camera along with other essential equipment. These upgrades enhanced the center’s organization and allowed more students to enroll.

Why He Chose This Scheme

“Young people have skills but no capital.” This insight motivated Sachin to select a scheme that avoided guarantor requirements and interest payments, minimizing the initial financial burden and empowering skillful youth to start their ventures.

He emphasized that many young individuals possess the necessary skills for entrepreneurship but are hindered by lack of capital, an obstacle his chosen scheme helped to overcome.

Courses Offered

The coaching center provides a variety of courses, including basic computer literacy, Hindi and English typing, internet usage, and fundamental cyber security. Additionally, students receive training in Tally and other commonly used software applications. Sachin intends to introduce new courses over time to cater to evolving learning needs.

Providing Work Experience

As enrollment grew, the center began delegating small tasks to select students, offering them practical experience and supplemental income. For Sachin, the center serves not merely as a learning hub but as an initiative to foster local employment opportunities.

Steady Growth and Focus

Originating from a single laptop, the center has now developed into a well-structured training institution. Rather than rapid expansion, Sachin prioritizes steady and sustainable growth.

Impact on the Community

Currently, children in this part of Muzaffarnagar have convenient access to digital education without the need for long-distance travel. Sachin Kumar’s experience highlights that determined individuals, assisted by supportive policies, can create meaningful change even through small initiatives.
