The Insurance Regulatory & Development Authority of India (IRDAI) has issued a Certificate of Registration to a new entrant in the health insurance sector, Galaxy Health and Allied Insurance Company Ltd, enabling them to conduct health insurance business in India.

“With this issuance, the count of insurers operating within the health insurance domain has now reached 7,” stated the regulator in an official release. This marks the sixth registration granted by IRDAI in approximately a year across the Life, Non-life, and Health segments.
