IISc Bangalore has recently unveiled a cutting-edge PG-level advanced certification programme focusing on Micro and Nanoelectronics.

The Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore, in collaboration with TalentSprint, an ed-tech firm, has launched a new PG-level advanced certification programme in Micro and Nanoelectronics.

The curriculum, developed by MSD Lab, Department of Electronics Systems Engineering (DESE) at IISc Bangalore, offers industry-focused training in semiconductor technology design, modelling, characterization, and development.

Led by Professor Mayank Shrivastava, the programme director at IISc, a team of researchers and experts from MSD Lab will serve as instructors for the course.

The programme features two variants: a nine-month PG Level Advanced Certification programme with a five-day campus immersion and project work at MSD Lab, and a six-month Advanced Certification programme with a two-day campus visit and lab exploration.

Key Details

  • BE/BTech degree holders in ECE, EE, Instrumentation, Nanoscience/Nanotechnology, Materials Engineering, or similar fields, as well as MSc Physics graduates, are eligible to apply.
  • Recent graduates interested in a career in microelectronics are encouraged to apply.
  • The fee for the comprehensive 9-month program is Rs 3,50,000 + GST.
  • The fee for the 6-month program is Rs 2,50,000 + GST.
  • Scholarships are available for eligible candidates.
