Telangana: Govt Directs SCCL To Fast-Track Gold, Copper Exploration In Karnataka’s Devadurga

HYDERABAD: The Telangana government has instructed the Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) to accelerate exploration activities for gold and copper in the Devadurga region of Karnataka.

SCCL holds the exploration rights for this area, situated near the Hutti gold mines, and the state plans to leverage the technical know-how from the Hutti mines for this project.

Advanced Exploration Techniques to be Implemented

SCCL has been directed to implement advanced technological procedures to identify and evaluate the extent and quality of mineral deposits in Devadurga.

This detailed planning will facilitate progressing to the mining phase, provided the exploration results are positive.
