NAREDCO Maharashtra plans to secure investment commitments exceeding Rs 10,000 crore for the state’s real estate and infrastructure industries during the sixth annual Real Estate & Infrastructure Investors’ Summit (REIIS) 2026. The event is scheduled to take place in Mumbai on September 3.

Summit Theme and Objectives

The summit, carrying the theme ‘RE-Defining India’s Growth Story,’ will convene policymakers, institutional investors, financial institutions, developers, and technology firms. Participants will explore investment prospects, infrastructure-led development, alternative financing options, artificial intelligence (AI), and property technology (PropTech).

Government Initiatives and Infrastructure Development

During the summit, the Maharashtra government will officially inaugurate an International Business and Finance Centre (IBFC) in Nagpur. This initiative aims to establish Nagpur as a new hub for business and investment.

Key infrastructure projects such as Mumbai 3.0, transit-oriented development corridors, and extensive urban redevelopment efforts will be a major focus of the event.

Industry Growth and Investment Outlook

The real estate sector in India continues to grow robustly, valued at approximately $650 billion in 2025 and contributing around 7.3% to the national GDP. Projections indicate substantial expansion in the coming decades.

Organizers expect Maharashtra to attract about Rs 10,000 crore in foreign direct investment and domestic institutional funding for real estate and infrastructure projects. Notably, interest has increased from major global investors including those from Japan, South Korea, and the Middle East.
