To his surprise, his final scores were nowhere near his expectations. He was shocked to check his results. He wanted to find why it happened which introduced him to a range of topics like score normalisation, adaptive tests etc. If you look into all theories, you would find that the underlying time constraint of the duration of the examination causes inconsistent results. This drew him to the world of Objective evaluation of Skills. With time, He pivoted to its biggest utility, Recruitment. This has hence been the “Zigsaw dream”!! “Zigsaw Dream” is an idea to reach every household, to every individual looking out for Job and help them build a career of their choice.
At the starting of his business, he was not able to find a technical co-founder, So, he started utilizing his personal savings to get the tech stack ready. Today, they are a community of approximate 3L job seekers and have a clientele of approx 1000 clients.
In Every Business, there are up’s and down’s. There have been a lot of small & big challenges during the journey. Traditional Recruitment firms in a city like Udaipur work by charging a Fixed Fee + a % of the salary of the candidate, it was a pleasant challenge to convince Job-seekers that they do not charge them anything at any stage of Recruitment. Another challenge in more recent times has been managing user expectations in a B2C model. Since there are many Job-seekers and fewer Jobs, a very small percentage is able to crack their dream Jobs. They have tried to move the whole recruitment process online to make the complete process more fast & transparent. This has allowed them to aggressively commit a timeline of 48 hours to take action on each Job-application we receive on our platform. Capital is another constraint in a bootstrapped startup that puts a check on the number of experiments you can run simultaneously. Running a startup is a constant challenge to your grit, patience & persistence. That being said, the journey is wonderful and matures you as an individual.
