About Dr. Sonal & Arham Academy
We all know a female always has this sense of serving her family, society, nation, and even the world. She has always played an important role in the teaching industry. This was one of the reasons, I felt the same. There was always a passion to train. Our education system and the industry had a big “GAP”. Thus, there was an urgent need to fill this gap, to make the youth employable. We then decided to take an initiative to fill the gap.
In 2019, ARHAM ACADEMY was initiated as a VOCATIONAL TRAINING CENTER. Arham Academy (AA) is a part of Singhvi Research Academy and Charitable Society (COOP/2018/UDAIPUR/100568) under the Rajasthan Society Registration Act, 1958. The major difference is that Arham Academy is affiliated with Laghu Udhyog Bharti and Udaipur Chamber of Commerce & Industry, which supports the youth for placement.
At Arham we run courses like Tally ERP.9 with GST, Digital Marketing, Stock Market, Spoken English, Advance Excel, Basic Computers. On successful completion of courses, we assist our students in placements. Here we also provide coaching from pre-primary to senior secondary and also college students. We also train for commerce professional courses.
Under our society, we take up various skill-based subjects as per market desire. We are training especially, on Women empowerment. Here we are giving training to girls up to the age of 18 years for self-defense and above 18 years for skill-based courses, including the development of entrepreneurship so that women become self-reliant.
Dr. Sonal Singhvi the founder of Arham Academy am a Doctorate (Ph.D.) in finance and have done Post Graduate/M.B.A in Financial Service Management and women entrepreneur from IIM Udaipur. She is also the director of Arham Academy. She has organized many national and international seminars. She has also presented and published many research papers in many national and international journals. She has received the Business Women of the year 2021 Award by Kala Ashram Performing Arts. She has more than 7 years of experience in teaching and has trained 1000+ students.
She is mentored by her father Mr. Rajendra Kumar Singhvi. He is the Secretary at Singhvi Research Academy and Charitable Society & Rtd GM (Projects) HZL is a metallurgical engineer from Malviya National Institute of Technology (MNIT), Jaipur. He has also done a Diploma in Management from AIMA. Has 40 years of Industry experience, out of which 34 Years with Hindustan Zinc, Udaipur as well as Vedanta Zinc International Namibia. He has also served as a Technical consultant. He is presently supporting Limpact Canada, G – Corner UK, Sunrise Polymer- Baroda, and few other companies as a Technical consultant. He was the project in charge of setting up, three Zinc plants ranging from Rs 500 Crs to Rs1100 Crs (each of 210,000 Ton per annum Zinc) at Chandariya as well as Dariba in Rajasthan and various other related projects of Hindustan Zinc as well as Zinc International, South Africa & Namibia.
About The JOURNEY
When Arham was started we got affiliated with UCCI and later on to add one more feather to the crown we got affiliation with Laghu Udhyog Bharti. Our center gradually picked up a very good speed. Students got trained batch after batch and willing students were placed according to their skills. A number of students became entrepreneurs too.
During the first year, we had conducted many seminars such as in B.N. University, Aravalli Group of Colleges, Pacific University. Our biggest career seminar was organized at St. Paul’s school named “YUVA BHARAT”. Around 600 students had participated from scout guide, NCC, and many colleges & schools. These seminars were based on the upcoming need for skills in the industry. The speakers highlighted how students can upskill themselves to build a better career. One of the speakers spoke about careers in IT, the second speaker discussed careers in defense and the third speaker was focusing on careers in civil services. Organizing a successful event with St. Paul’s as venue partners were one of the achievements during the first year.
Now, we have trained and placed many students. The success stories of students and their placements in the industry are the biggest achievement for Arham Academy. This is the true meaning of a vocational training center. We feel we are on the correct track, by helping young talents built their careers.
Challenges Dr. Sonal faced During her Entrepreneurial Journey
Definitely, the second year of Arham Academy was a big challenge. This was because of CORONA PANDEMIC. Shifting all the offline training to an online platform was a tough task. Students, job seekers, and professionals took some time to adapt to the online learning platforms. Initially, it took some time to make everyone comfortable with online platforms. Furthermore, many people were not ready to come out of their comfort of offline learning. Gradually, the circumstances became favourable again. The business recovered and is now flourishing again. During Covid 19 when there was a complete lockdown since 22 March 2020, we turned this epidemic into a fruitful direction by starting ONLINE COACHING and trained various students across different parts of India by improving their skills.
We at Arham Academy, feel delighted to have organized 4 OPEN MIC events till today. We give a stage to people to showcase their talents and enhance them. We have been getting lots of love and respect from our students and society. Spreading the awareness for skill development was our major challenge, which we feel we have now overcome up to a certain limit. There is a long way to go, our steps are towards it.

I have been working with schools, skill development centers, and schools. Training students at all levels has been a very interesting journey during my career. At ARHAM, our team feels delighted, when we upskill a job seeker or an entrepreneur and help them in empowering themselves. The journey at ARHAM is really interesting for the entire family of ARHAM, which includes management, trainers, and students.
A Women Entrepreneur faces many challenges in operating her business. Here, feeling these challenges increases confidence as an individual. The zeal to enhance skills, according to the market requirement. We have developed a sense of providing the best quality training in a positive atmosphere. The list of learnings as a woman Entrepreneurs is endless. One feels, to have evolved as a manager, a trainer, and also as an individual.
There is a famous saying “Learning has no age limit”. So, we at Arham believe strongly in this, that learning is a continuous process. We must always try to upgrade our skills according to the latest technologies and trends.
